40 Common Reasons People Fail On Their Diets (Part 2)

Tesco eDiets

This post is a continuation of my previous Part 1 on the 40 common reasons people fail on their diets.

There are other reasons weight loss can be so difficult. For instance, you start a diet and have all your information on hand. You do everything you can to lose the weight and then suddenly you stop. You forget to bring your healthy snacks to work or someone brings something sweet to work. A birthday arises and you eat a piece of cake…. all with the intention that you’ll start dieting again the very next day.

I will hope that the Part 2 of this guide will help you stay in focus and avoid any other unnecessary setbacks.

The Part 2 of the 40 common dieting blunders people tend to do despite good intentions are as follows:

Blunder No.21 – Not living life, as you should because you believe life is better when you are skinnier.

Blunder No.22 – Assuming that the pills you take are more potent than they actually are.

Blunder No.23 – Viewing exercising as a chore rather than fun.

Blunder No.24 – Not setting a set schedule so you will remember to exercise.

Blunder No.25 – Drinking entirely way too much.

Blunder No.26 – Sitting down watching sports instead of playing them.

Blunder No.27 – Watching way too much television or looking at the computer screen.

Blunder No.28 – Giving up with the notion that you will always be fat.

Blunder No.29 – Doing dishes and finishing others’ plates.

Blunder No.30 – Nibbling/eating food while cooking.

Blunder No.31 – Baking sweets even when it’s not a special occasion.

Blunder No.32 – When guests are over, having sweets available but eating more of it yourself.

Blunder No.33 – Purchasing snack food for your children but eating the snacks yourself.

Blunder No.34 – Meals do not contains fruits or vegetables.

Blunder No.35 – Believing that the diet leads to weight loss when it’s actually making a lifestyle change.

Blunder No.36 – Not seeing yourself living healthy.

Blunder No.37 – Eating foods that are refined and not whole grain, fat meals rather than lean meals and not eating reduced fat dairy products.

Blunder No.38 – Eating fast food more often than eating home cooked foods.

Blunder No.39 – Eating second portions when you shouldn’t.

Blunder No.40 – Putting off starting a diet until the next day.

If it seems that you do any of these items listed in Part 1 and Part 2 above, you know you need to change your way of thinking and habits to get healthier.

So I hope that my two parts guide on the “40 common reasons why people fail on their diets” can help you stay in focus!!! After all, the only thing you have to lose is your weight.
